In this first episode of Herstories, I have the pleasure of interviewing Madeline Benfield, my stepdaughter. During the podcast, we discussed our meeting when she was around age two. How we changed the role of a 'stepmom' and a 'stepdaughter' norm, and what were some of the advantages and disadvantages of having two homes? How she created her Madeline and found a creative path going to Parsons New School in NYC, and how she continues to do what she loves after graduation. She provided insight and guidance for people trying to find their way and be their true selves.
