Dreadful Birthday, Dear Joker wraps up with a rather long discussion on the recent multi-part EPIC – DEATH OF THE FAMILY! This much-hyped and extensive storyline, crossing over into pretty much any book with with a “Bat” in the title (and a few that didn’t) was the first large scale appearance of The Joker in the radical, brave new world that was the New 52. Can it possibly hope to live up to the hype? How does it rate next to other, more classic Joker stories?
