Hezbollah Underground Command Base Discovered Beneath Clothing Store

Listen Later

Al-Khiyam, Lebanon – The Israel Defense Forces released footage showing the discovery of a Hezbollah underground command headquarters located about 25 meters beneath a civilian clothing shop in the village of al-Khiyam in southern Lebanon.

The video begins inside an ordinary retail store filled with brightly colored clothing under fluorescent lights. Soldiers then break through the floor, exposing a hidden vertical shaft.

The footage shows a steep metal ladder descending into darkness, leading to an underground complex.

Further exploration reveals narrow concrete corridors with exposed pipes and wiring, along with small rooms containing equipment and supplies reportedly used for command and control. The site also shows scattered debris and structural elements consistent with a fortified bunker.

The IDF said the tunnel was located and destroyed during operations by the 769th Brigade Combat Team under the 91st Division, south of the forward defense line in southern Lebanon.

According to the military, the underground facility was used by Hezbollah to manage combat operations and was built beneath a civilian storefront.

The IDF stated it will continue targeted operations aimed at removing such threats to northern Israeli communities and its forces.
