The Food and Drug Administration and HH Fresh Trading now recall HH Fresh Trading Taiwan Enoki Mushrooms. These mushrooms are contaminated with listeria monocyogenes. This bacterium causes a severe and sometimes fatal systemic infection in the very young, older frail individuals, and those with weakened immune systems. Listeria can also trigger miscarriages and stillbirths.
These mushrooms were sold in West Virginia.
