Wild Society: True Crime Podcast

H.H. Holmes + Lake Michigan Triangle

Listen Later

Welcome to the seventh episode of Wild Society!

This week we cover the man known as “America’s first serial killer”, H.H. Holmes. A medical school graduate, swindler and ladies man, H.H. Holmes ruled the dark side of Chicago during the time of the World’s Fair. Building what would become known as the “murder castle”, Holmes’ morbid obsession with anatomy and chemistry took a dark turn in late 19th century Chicago.

Or, are all of the tales we’ve come to know as fact just sensationalized stories?

In part two of this episode we learn about the Lake Michigan Triangle, also known as the Michigan Triangle. It has accounted for numerous mysterious events, beginning in 1891. Ships, people and even the nation's once largest commercial airline disaster have all occurred in the Triangle, which spans from Manitowoc, Wisconsin, to Ludington, Michigan, and south to Benton Harbor, Michigan. Chad talks about the mystery and what's possibly to blame.
