But what truly stunned her wasn’t the bear—it was the towering figure peeking out from behind a tree. It was Bigfoot.

To her surprise, she felt no fear. Instead, she had the overwhelming sense that the creature meant her no harm—perhaps even that it was protecting her from the grizzly. Unsure of what else to do, Heidi simply waved and said, "Hi, Mr. Bigfoot." In response, the creature let out what she could only describe as a laugh.
