We explore the role of lions on medieval maps and how one can choose not to be afraid of these lions; we look at what it takes to admit that there is white space, and what it takes to explore it, and how that can open up attractive options; we discuss the differences between being in the drivers’ seat vs. the passengers’ seat on the journey; and we also look at how the choice between motorway and scenic road could be a conscious one.
