Listen Later

During a time of great hardship, people often turn to drastic means in order to survive. During the depression, kidnappings rose in popularity as a way to make some easy money. One of the most famous of these was when the young toddler of the well known aviator and inventor, Charles Lindbergh and his wife Anne, was kidnapped and murdered. The victims' stories would make for sensational news headlines across the globe.
