Poem 20: "HIGH & DRY"

- The world continues to disappoint him,

His only solace lies in getting high.

He smokes a joint and pokes holes

In the claustrophobic fabric of happiness.

Carbon Monoxide helps him breathe,

With the smoke, his despair fades...

Until the next night, and the story repeats itself.
