Pride is a lethal enemy of relationships. It prevents us from seeing ourselves clearly, it prevents us from moving closer to others, and it prevents us from cultivating a deeper relationship with Jesus. Pride causes us to feel like we are better off than others, and that can cause us to approach people from a place of judgement. Curiosity helps us refrain from wielding our judgement against others, moving us towards deeper compassion and understanding of those around us.
