Yesterday we spoke to Merle Mansfield - Programme Director of the Zero Dropout Campaign about the high number of school dropouts the country is facing. They say that school attendance is at its lowest in two decades. Reports suggest that fewer students  returned to school this year compared to last year before the pandemic and that the dropout rate has tripled.  Well, let’s hear now from the Department of Basic Education as to what they attribute this problem to and as far as they are concerned, what is going on as we welcome….
