Highly Suspect Reviews

FUTURAMA SEASON 14 REVIEW An animated series that has survived more cancellations and network shuffling then South Park and Family Guy, Futurama is back on Hulu Plus for its alleged final season…allegedly. Fry, Leela, Bender, the Professor, Hermes, Amy, and Doctor Zoidberg are back with sci-fi adventures at the Planet Express, delivering your packages faster than […]

YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING MOVIE REVIEW Elizabeth Holmes sits in prison for what seems to be a pretty open and shut case of fraud. Her company, Theranos, claimed it had a device that revolutionized blood testing by being able to take a fingerprick worth of blood and do a giant battery of tests on it. […]

WHALEFALL MOVIE REVIEW Let’s get it out of the way right now: Whalefall is a movie about a guy who gets swallowed by a whale and has to figure out how to escape before his air runs out. Sounds like a Tubi original, right? But no, this is a wide theatrical release with big name […]

MISTY GREEN MOVIE REVIEW It’s not hard to see, given the immense talent of actress Rosalind Eleazar, that despite her mainly having a notable presence just on TV (check out Slow Horses if you haven’t yet, it’s amazing), she definitely can carry the weight of an entire film on her shoulders. She is the titular […]

THE STUNT DRIVER MOVIE REVIEW Some men chase fame. Some chase fortune. And some strap themselves into a rocket-powered Lincoln Continental and attempt to jump the St. Lawrence River at 280 miles per hour. Because dying of old age is for quitters. Based on the spectacularly outrageous true story of Canadian daredevil Ken Carter, The […]

FORGOTTEN ISLAND MOVIE REVIEW Some friendships last forever. Others come with an expiration date, a magical portal, and a flying demon straight out of Filipino folklore. DreamWorks Animation’s Forgotten Island follows lifelong best friends Jo (H.E.R.) and Raissa (Liza Soberano), two young women preparing to go their separate ways after graduating high school. But one […]

PRESIDENT CURTIS SERIES REVIEW Keith David’s foul-mouthed, no-nonsense President Andre Curtis is back, and this time he’s getting his own damn show! Spinning off from Rick and Morty, President Curtis follows the coolest commander-in-chief in the multiverse as he attempts to protect America from supernatural threats, extraterrestrial catastrophes, government conspiracies, and the occasional constitutional crisis. […]

TED LASSO SEASON 4 REVIEW At the conclusion of Ted Lasso Season 3, everyone’s favorite mustachioed Coach Ted (Jason Sudeikis) resigned from London’s AFC Richmond, and moved back to America to raise his son. The Series 3 finale also hinted at a possible spin-off about Richmond’s first ever women’s football team. We do get to […]

FINAL FANTASTIC FIVESOME FORUM I know we have been pretty exhaustive this year (and most years) with our coverage of our favorite movie festival Fantastic Fest. Promise, this is the last thing we’re putting up for it this year. But it’s a big one. We get five of our attending critics, Chris, Wright, Martin, Mike, […]

ADULT SUPERVISION MOVIE REVIEW In this Swedish entry this year for Best International Feature Film at the Oscars, we get to explore trauma in a different way then we’re used to seeing it of late (in horror movie after horror movie, natch). In Adult Supervision, three dads are roped into being chaperones for their daughters […]
