In the Florida Artist Hall of Fame, 26 Highwaymen artists are inducted. They're called the "Original Highwaymen" artists. Their children who paint in the same style are labeled "Second Generation" Highwaymen artists. The third category of these artists are called "Legacy" Highwaymen. This category includes people taught by the Original artists.

For the past 14+ years, Ralph Oko has personally known 15 of the Original artists. His stories of them are so special and uplifiting. He was intorduced to them via Susan Harris and through Jetson's yearly Highwaymen shows. John Jetson was forefront in supporting them as they were up and coming.
