Hiker Foot Traffic Brings Microplastics into Adirondacks

Microplastics are a widespread, ubiquitous environmental contamination. The Adirondack park is one of the most pristine parts of our state, but even those gorgeous mountains are not safe from the microplastics brought in by hikers and their gear. Dr. Joe Dadey, executive director of Adirondack Hamlets to Huts, and Dr. Tim K. Keyes of Evergreen Business Analytics researched these findings and shared their conclusions in a report (see link below) as they spoke about this with Mark Dunlea and Benno Greene about the report they created.
