Kingsley Powell, Chapel Hill’s Student Ministries Director, is fairly confident in what he is doing and for whom he is doing it. We’ll talk about why he feels that way, how to combat the unique issues confronting today’s young people, and maybe a little bit about Hallmark Christmas movies.

Jason Schultz is the Executive Director of Agua Viva Ministries in Ensenada, Mexico. A second-generation missionary, Jason does not consider himself a missionary, unless maybe when he’s visiting churches in the U.S. He tells us about the many aspects of Agua Viva open to short-term mission trips from the U.S., as well as the necessary lifelines AVM provides to so many in Mexico. God stories aren’t confined by international boundaries.

Andy Davidson talks about his personal stumbling block that is more common than we think, and is reaching higher levels during our continuing pandemic. There is one solid rock we can cling to.

For 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the yearly Chapel Hill High School mission trip participants stayed at home and their guest speaker was Joseph Bataille, former World Relief Country Director for Haiti. In many ways, Lori Isbell is driven...WAS driven...from an early age. But through the twists and turns of her teenage and college years, she developed a dependence on Jesus...a dependence on which she continued to rely during the difficult times of leading a local company with national operations, regardless of how high the stakes.

“I have you now. You never have to be afraid again.” Pamiel Reed’s turn to Jesus Christ was ... memorable. She claims she just bounces along to where God wants her, but she absolutely is a tool for God to help bring “hope, peace, and healing;” things that, as you hear her story, she obviously knows a lot about.

More than 20 years ago, Dave and Tracy Haugen experienced a loss no one should go through. They could have kept it to themselves, but instead opened up to their church and have not ignored the lessons and love that came with their experience. Dave joins us to talk about a life that ended almost before it began, but continues to show us God’s provisions for our needs.

We’ve often heard that the most common answers to prayer are “yes, no, and wait.” Rarely has anyone waited for an answer to prayer as long as Kim and Steve Maxwell. What was the answer to their prayer, and what did they learn in the meantime? Who are they now after their encounter with God’s grace and timing?
