We definitely need to encourage our team members towards personal growth and development.
The big question is why do we do this? And if the answer is yes, then how do we do this? Are there questions we can ask them? Do we reward them somehow?
Part of your organization’s budget, both time and dollars, should be allocated towards having your team members grow personally and professionally.
Here are the key moments in this episode:

5:45- As leaders and managers, we have the moral obligation to help our team members reach their fullest potential.

15:52- Questions you can ask the team: 1. How do you see yourself doing in a couple of years?
16:23- 2. What training do you need to improve your position performance?
17:57- 3. What areas of learning excite you the most? How does that work for you?
18:49- 4. Ask how you, as manager/leader can help?
19:21- It is important to give your members certain options and make sure that they feel comfortable choosing those options.
21:32- If they are going to doing this, you’re going to have them do it and there’s responsibility on their part and have them put that into a SMART GOAL.
