Pretty much everyone I know has a REALLY busy life, full of A LOT of responsibilities. So when we want to take some time and enjoy our favorite hobby, there's nothing wrong with that. right? Well, it's fine, until the hobby overtakes our time with family and faith. It did for Robert Harvill with Committed Christian Outdoors. 

 

In my podcast interview with Robert, he shares with us how his love of hunting and fishing became an idol in his life, ultimately costing him his marriage. 

 

Having grown up in south Georgia, I knew so many guys like Robert. We jokingly called their wives "hunting widows." It was funny for awhile, but being alone half the winter while their husband and his buddies are off hunting gets old real fast. Thankfully, Robert was able to take his somewhat selfish passion for the outdoors and, through the Holy Spirits direction, turn his hobby into a tool to share the Gospel with children and families in his community.
