God has shown us His Incredible love in so many wonderful ways,  one of which is giving us the honour and the privilege of being called His children. It is the greatest honour of all and it carries significant spiritual weight and recognition. See what an incredible quality of love the Father has given (shown, bestowed on) us, that we should [be permitted to] be named and called and counted the children of God! And so we are!
