“His name” the trinity goes by many different names. And each name means something profound to humanity. Throughout scripture there are prophecies that described what Jesus would be like and various names were given to Jesus Christ in order to convey a message to us about who the son of God is.

Jesus describes himself as the “I am” in John 8:58 which is a direct reference to God in the OT Exodus 3:14. Jesus was describing Himself as the eternal God.
