Psalm 136:1 declares: "Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good, for His steadfast love endures forever." (ESV) The next 25 verses give us plenty of good reasons why our thankfulness is warranted. But those same verses also give us the chief reason our deep gratitude is called for. And what might that be? Because our Lord's love is steadfast! It's unwavering! And what else? Besides God's love being steadfast, it endures forever! In other words, it's not only constant, it's unending! So even as God's creative prowess speaks to this love, and even though His faithful care for His chosen people affirms this love, and likewise our Creator's loving attention to all His creatures great and small, there's yet another manifestation of His love that has come to pass that far exceeds them all. What might that be?
