Abigail was the portrait of an intercessor. Being willing to stand in the gap for her foolish husband, Nabal, we see Abigail as a living legend that serves as an example to us today.

Perhaps there is someone God has placed in your path who has taken a foolish path. Like Abigail you have been called to the role of an intercessor.

Interceding is dangerous, tiring, and hard. It makes us vulnerable and humbles us, causing us to be reminded that apart from God’s grace, we too would be Nabals.
