As children of God we have allowed ourselves to become too familiar with ideas of hopelessness and impossibility. Even as believers, we are experts of seeking out overwhelming evidence on how things cannot work out. But that’s not the kind of faith we are called to. There is an “even now” faith that sees God’s power to intervene even when it seems over. Yes, it’s true that the situation might be too far gone for human strength but “even now” God is still able.
