On November 7, 2021, Daniel Ortega won his fourth consecutive term as president of Nicaragua in an election roundly assailed as both unfree and unfair. Steven spoke with Dr. Eline Van Ommen to better understand how to understand the results and what it means for democracy in Nicaragua.
