What is empathy? Empathy is modeled and learned through experiences. No one can claim to understand how someone is feeling without having gone through the same experience themselves. But how do we build empathy in young people? Why is this important? This week, we're taking a look at historical empathy. By teaching historical empathy, we can help young people connect with the past and to better understand people's emotional experiences and circumstances during a specific event or crisis.
