So many people love history, and so many others love fiction; it's no wonder that this Venn diagram overlaps at some point, but I'm almost surprised it's not bigger.
Happy New Years and Welcome to the Just Dumb Enough Podcast. A show that acknowledges no one is always an expert, by dispelling misconceptions with real experts.
My guest today is B McGraw. Roman history nerds rejoice as McGraw writes about the year of the four emperors, 69AD. But here's the deal, historical record only covers so much of the story; so McGraw filled in the gaps with what he thought summed up a humorous emperor's rise to power, then modernized the language so it doesn't read like a boring textbook. In short: He made it up. However, you would actually learn about history if you read his book, making historical fiction a very interesting category.

I want to learn history in basically only this fashion from now on. It very much reminds me of Iconoblast where they were about 90% accurate and 10% nonsense.
In other news... January is looking promising with the following rankings:
1. England of the United Kingdom, holding an unusual top spot.
2. The United States, with California, New York, and Texas still leading.
3. Australia, with Queensland still dominating the others so far.
4. Canada, with Ontario and Quebec neck and neck.
5. Ghana, dethroning Ireland.
