So many people love history, and so many others love fiction; it's no wonder that this Venn diagram overlaps at some point, but I'm almost surprised it's not bigger.

My guest today is B McGraw. Roman history nerds rejoice as McGraw writes about the year of the four emperors, 69AD. But here's the deal, historical record only covers so much of the story; so McGraw filled in the gaps with what he thought summed up a humorous emperor's rise to power, then modernized the language so it doesn't read like a boring textbook. In short: He made it up. However, you would actually learn about history if you read his book, making historical fiction a very interesting category.
