As an only child for the first fifteen years , she learned story telling could keep me and my friends entertained. It was only near the end of my nursing career with retirement on the horizon that she picked up my writing again. Brenda decided to devote her time and energy into this new adventure, and an adventure it has been. Brenda has always been an avid reader mostly romance novels with historical and regency being my favorites. Her greatest influences were/are Kathleen Woodiwiss, Laurie McBain, and Johanna Lindsey. They kept her believing in love and romance during a dark time in my life. Brenda says she nearly gave up after my first endeavor, but with the support and help of my family, friends and fellow authors, Brenda continues to trudge on. Writing has become that lost love once found again, one does not let go of. There are too many stories that were begun and never finished in all those years to let go of them now. Born in the city of New Orleans, Brenda Hunt grew up along the bayous of South Louisiana. Though she has traveled extensively, Brenda says she will always call South Louisiana home. She now lives with her husband of 33 years in a ranch style home on two wooded acres or on our houseboat on the banks of Bayou Terrebonne. Her three daughters and their families live nearby. Her son and his family live in Texas. When not writing, most of her time is occupied by her 13 grandchildren. Brenda and her husband have always loved to travel. Now that they are both retired have, the pair plan on doing more traveling. Accompanying them in their travels are the three pugs---Kahlua, Maggie, and Lillie, who she calls her writing compatriots.
