The Knysna Forest in the Southern Cape has many amusing and interesting stories associated with it, from visitors' encounters with its rare elephants to its rich history. Some of these stories have inspired the works of many authors, including Daleen Matthee's masterpieces "Kringe in die Bos" and "Fiela se kind".
