Welcome to this week's episode of the Find Me in Seattle Podcast, Episode 021. I've titled the show "History Has Its Eyes On You" because of the second half of the show's focus on two movies I recently watched: Hidden Figures, and Hamilton. This week I saw the movie hidden figures at the Marymoor Drive In Movie Theater and I was so inspired by the story of those three women and their impact they had. They each show a level of resilience, drive and determination, in a world that is designed to stop them, to achieve their goals and help win the space race. Their stories and impact also had me reflect on my obsession with the Hamilton Musical and how that film is changing the narrative and rewriting history about how we see some of the Founding Fathers of America.
The show also includes "This Week in Seattle News" including:
- Seattle NHL Team is named "Seattle Kraken"
- COVID-19 reopening rollback and restrictions
- The end of Youth Detention Centers in Seattle
- Protests continue
- COVID019 Artifacts
THE BEST THING I ATE THIS WEEK: Breakfast Burrito from Stone Way Cafe in Wallingford (Fremont).
