It has endured significant historical moments, including the Black Sox Scandal of 1919, the breaking of the color barrier by Jackie Robinson in 1947, and the steroid era of the late 1990s.
Baseball expanded globally, with leagues in Latin America, Japan, and Korea, and international competitions like the World Baseball Classic. Despite modern challenges, the game continues to adapt, maintaining its place in American and global sports culture.
