Everyone, Today we're going to talk about the history of Far Cry. Because Far Cry has had such an incredible impact on the gaming industry, when we look at the Far Cry engine, it looks like it comes from all doesn't look like it came from that crisis engine. So crisis kind of builds upon the Far Cry engine, which created that game. And as we all know, crisis was a major game that was very challenging for computer systems are run for many years, and probably still is, to a certain extent. So when you look at crisis, a lot of influences have occurred there from the Far Cry engine. But first, we had the Far Cry launch the original game on PC. And it was a one of those games that was very popular that did a great job of bringing openworld kind of adventure there, there were action scenes, going back and playing it, it probably is not going to be on par with what you see today. But at the time, it was a revolutionary type game that did a great job of just capturing the elements of being able to do a lot in a game, and then going on an adventure. And as a shooter, it did a great job with that aspect. And then Far Cry kind of branched off in some expansions. And when it went on to Xbox 360. And those other systems. When I went onto those systems, we had Far Cry Primal with an expansion there that continued to bring that to next generation at that time on the Xbox 360. Looking back now the Xbox 360 is not as powerful in comparison. But that was a first generation where we had characters that kind of looked more real. And that's that's why I'm mentioning the Xbox 360 game because it was a big deal when that came out on the Xbox 360 because I was like okay, now we're Next Gen. Now we've hit that point where PC games are really translating well to systems, and gaming systems in general. Then we had Far Cry to the one that was in Africa. And that one was kind of about the just all the issues in Africa. But it was so adventurous in that aspect and go around and on behold, you would try to survive in Africa, it was a rather challenging experience, you were not going to get to that game without dying basically. Because there was always something around every turn. And in that game, so if you ever had the opportunity, I recommend you go back and play for our criteria. It has a great atmosphere in Africa and you'll see some characters throughout that are just well done overall. In fact, I want to go play some bar criteria right now. That is how good of a game it is. Now there are some repetitive things about far criteria they hadn't refined everything like they did in Far Cry three but Far Cry two is definitely worth a play. I noticed that in the basis in Parker it would kind of repopulate. I think that was just the time it came out. And 2010 I think it was 2008 area era of gaming where they hadn't had the technology that they have today where they can use more RAM and all that other stuff that would actually bring in the additional power of Far Cry. And in the description of this podcast episode I'll make sure to include the links to all the Far Cry material so you can go on Amazon checking out additionally we have what was a major release that changed a lot of stuff was Far Cry three barkai threes that Far Cry on this. This is here this is Far Cry, this is big time. Far Cry three was well received by reviews, and it still stands up today. As a game that changed a lot you go on a tropical island. And I think this is kind of where the drug references and park price started occurring more. And I don't know I don't know if you necessarily have to agree with it. But it's definitely very colorful when that happens in the game of why they're using those references and how it adds the adventure and we see that through all the different far cries that have come out as of recently but when we look at the the idea of Far Cry three and going on a tropical island and then trying to survive it has a very lost vibe to it. If you've ever seen.....
