"Those who can not remember the past are condemned to repeat", philosopher George Santana wrote these words in the late 1800's. But are they really relavent? Do the words of a late 19th century philosopher have any bearing on today? Isn't history just a bunch of boring facts and dates that have no meaning today? If that's true then why do we keep making the same mistakes over and over? 

 

This week we will be discussing the importance of history. How history is not just facts and dates, but it people! People trying to live those lives, not always for good, not always iin the best circumstances but living. 

 

Also this week we'll read a parable from Jesus about being prepared.
