How many times have you had a goal, or behavior, that you did because someone in authority told you that was what you should be ‘aiming at’ or ‘shooting for’. It was their target, for you.

This is a ‘Dutiful Pursuit’ and vastly better than having a poor/no target. But eventually, the target will erode, if something doesn’t change.

Confucius knew this is 500 BC. What has to happen for you to become connected with a target? Make it your own….
