Listen Later

00 Intro

22 We had an awesome weekend, so buckle up.
45 We went to Robertson for the Harvest Festival
01 We went to a hands-on harvest event at Graham Beck

17 We started out by picking vigonier grapes

11 Don’t call South African cap classique “champagne” or you’ll piss off the winemarker.
10 Sorting the grapes was a FARCE

06 Then we swtiched to this episode of I Love Lucy

50 Then we took the factory tour, the best part of which was tasting raw grape juice, which looks like dirty mop water but tastes like heaven.
35 Then we tasted “the base wines” (whatever that means)

00 Then we “punched down the cap” in some barrels of wine and signed the barrel of grapes we stomped

41 And admired the crazy number of bottles of wine fermenting in Graham Beck’s cellar

33 And we heard plenty about how socially conscious Graham Beck is! Keep it up, you guys!
57 The next day we figured we should go do some wine tastings but after one realized we were all wined out.
36 And we had dinner at Rueben’s at the Small Robertson Hotel and it was SO YUMMY
30 Sign-off!
06 EXTRA BIT (I wasn’t that far off the mark!)
