Hey there, wonderful people! I’m @diduoflagos and this my entry for hive openmic week 108 and I’m really glad to be here again.
I’m super excited to share something special with all of you today. Music has this amazing power to touch our hearts and souls, and there’s a song that’s been tugging at my heartstrings lately: Adele’s timeless classic, “Someone Like You.”
I mean, who hasn’t belted out this song in the shower or shed a tear or two while listening to it? It’s like Adele just gets us, you know? Her lyrics are so honest and real, capturing all those feelings of heartache and hope in such a beautiful way.
So, after weeks of practicing in front of my mirror (and maybe my cat), I’ve finally decided to share my cover of “Someone Like You” with you all. No fancy production, just me, my guitar, and a whole lot of heart.
I hope this little rendition of mine brings a smile to your face or maybe even a little warmth to your heart. And hey, if you’re going through a rough patch, just know that you’re not alone. We’ve all been there, and sometimes, music is the best therapy.
