Hi Hive members, welcome to my page. I'm @daniky and this is my entry for week 251 of Hive Open Mic. The theme of the week is titled "High School" and today I want to introduce a song that we used to sing in my high school many years ago. This song is an African song titled "Four years" by Styl-plus. This song was originally sung in Pidgin English. I'll make sure you can understand what it means. This song is an expression of gratitude to Almighty God for His preservation and care of our lives as individuals. Many of those who started this year with us were unable to see the beginning of February. The fact that we are alive is all by the grace of God, and for that we are very grateful to our Creator.
A story was told of a friend of styl-plus who lost his life in the cold hands of death. One just needs to cheer up and keep going because one cannot change the course of nature except through God's intervention. The song said "we are still alive." This means that despite the problems of life, we are still breathing and alive. So we should cheer up and keep going as life goes on.

Esta canción es una expresión de gratitud a Dios Todopoderoso por Su preservación y cuidado de nuestras vidas como individuos. Muchos de los que comenzaron este año con nosotros no pudieron ver el comienzo de febrero. El hecho de que estemos vivos es todo por la gracia de Dios, y por eso estamos muy agradecidos a nuestro Creador.
Se contó una historia de un amigo de styl-plus que perdió la vida en las frías manos de la muerte. Uno solo necesita animarse y seguir adelante porque no se puede cambiar el curso de la naturaleza excepto a través de la intervención de Dios. La canción decía "seguimos vivos". Esto significa que a pesar de los problemas de la vida, todavía respiramos y estamos vivos. Así que debemos animarnos y seguir adelante mientras la vida continúa.
