In today's episode, the team discussed the dynamics of mixing family and business. In chemistry class, you have to investigate which properties would have good or bad reactions when they interact with each other. This is comparable to doing business with family. The only difference is chemistry class is an experiment, but when you mix family and business this can be detrimental to personal relationships. We provided our insight and our growing pains while working together. We highlighted that a major key when mixing family and business is the ability to differentiate personal relationships and business relationships. We also identified that roles must be established from day one and ultimately if terms can't be agreed upon before the business starts they should never intertwine.
