Ephesians 6:13-14 “…HAVING DONE ALL to STAND.... STAND therefore…”

Many Christian people try to receive from God, WITHOUT taking any stand at all.

Most people’s process of living is to go along everyday hoping that nothing happens today that I can’t handle. If and when it does, they try to change the situation with a few moments of crying and tears of what many call, “prayer”.

All the while, without realizing it they have been setting into motion “spiritual laws.” Their thinking, speaking and daily choices have actually brought into their lives the very conflict that they are now crying about.

As believers, we need to learn how to stand on the word of God in faith.

Becoming a disciple as Jesus commanded, is NOT the easy road, but it is fulfilling & rewarding. Every one of us should be in a strong Word-based church that is challenging us and helping us grow up in the Lord.

Every one of us should also be helping to disciple a new believer.

Roadblocks to Progress in our growth:

• Staying in our comfort zone

• Having a victim mentality

• Taking the path of least resistance

• Understanding that our part involves work

Philippians 2:12 “Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” It takes work (effort) to renew our minds and to build new habits It takes repetition. Our new life is built through acting upon the word over and over again. It also takes consistency. We must keep being obedient; steady and unchanging.
