YUNG burst on the local Houston scene in late 2006 though he’d been a hometown favorite for years. YUNG started rapping for anyone who would listen at the age of 16 constantly working to perfect his writing and lyrical skills. Some of his early influences included Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Twista, Snoop Dogg, Tha Dogg Pound, Devin the Dude, Scarface, and DJ Screw. Now constantly grinding in the streets of Houston and other major cities, his smooth delivery, melodious hooks and excellent vocal range make him one of Houston’s hardest hitters in the game. His debut album “FRONTLINE OR FLATLINE” had him poised to explode onto the national scene, but due to legal technicalities and the passing of his father, Yung took a short hiatus to get things together.
