The flashes from a hundred cameras bounced off of Jack Allison, who was seated before a bushel of various microphones that jutted out at him like accusatory fingers. Placed just beyond these microphones rested a collection of hats: four in total with their brims pointed away from Jack and toward the crowd and their flashing lights. Of the gathered hats Jack knew of only the one —a familiar friend to his far right peeling from age. He looked longingly at the hat for a few moments, before giving his head a little shake, and squeezing the held hand of his attractive wife Cait Raft, who communicated her support by squeezing back. Jack looked out at the crowd —the reporters, the officials, and cleared his throat before speaking into the mass of microphones. “Ladies, gentlemen and all those beyond” He said, “Thank you all for coming. My wife” —He turned to Cait and smiled before turning back to the microphones, “And I have thought long and hard about the next chapter in my life after my professional weed smoking career has run its course. And we’re pleased that today—before all of you, we’d like to announce my commitment..” Jack stood up and placed one of the newer looking hats onto his head, “to becoming a Gundam Guy!”
