Welcome to this special edition of Hococast, a teen podcast for teens, by teens presented by The Howard County Library System. In this episode Hococasters Nana and Ollantey talk to a variety of colleges, universities, and miliary branches about their institutions and what potential students can expect. The edition was recorded at The College and Armed Forces Day at East Columbia on September 28, 2024.

At Howard County Library System, we believe that community is at the heart of our library. To help celebrate Merriweather Post Pavilion’s 20th Anniversary, a place where so many memories have been made – including Battle of the Books! - we joined the Merriweather Arts and Culture Center to capture people’s most cherished (and intriguing) stories. Here we are looking back at the year gone by –and gearing up for the new one ahead. It’s time to hear about your favorite books of 2023. We visited the branches and spoke with staff and community members about their favorite reads. I’m sure you’ll want to add these titles to your To Be Read pile. You can always place your requests at hclibrary.org using your library card and PIN number. So, let’s get to it and hear all about your best books of 2023!
