In this episode we explain why we have decided to change the name of our youtube channel. What was formally known as Sit Down and Listen began in the year 2019 during a time of global crisis. The primary objective was to provide Biblical and philosophical content that challenged those that engaged with it. This new year has led us to making this important shift in order to provide a clear testimony for those that come across this channel. Moving forward we ask for your prayers and please share this video with others so they might be edified with the program.

It is regarded by many as a controversial portion of the historical narrative that is found in the book of Exodus, the ruler of ancient Egypt is hardened by the sovereign creator of the universe. In this video we explore the meaning behind this expression and attempt to gain clarity by looking into the original languages, context, and theology. It is a topic that confronts us all to be on guard and not allow our own hearts to become hardened by the cares of this world. Scripture provides multiple examples of a congregational or collective purpose and love that God through Christ possesses for His churches. Yet in the shot letter that the apostle Paul writes to Philemon we find a merciful God who is intimately involved in the lives of even those that society identified as slaves. In this video we provide context to the letter and five biblical principles that should confront and edify the way we approach the world around us.

In this video we provide a brief update on the status of the channel and personal life. Then we delve into a topic that has important relevance for the church today. The fear of man is what stagnates genuine Christian growth and true gospel proclamation. The Scriptures call us to war against these inclinations to seek the approval of others, and rather pursue the approval of the one who created us and gave His life for us. En este episodio de Sit Down and Listen (Siéntate Y Escucha) hablaremos sobre una porción de las Escrituras que comunica verdades espirituales sobre la gloriosa encarnación de Cristo, la nueva posición del creyente ante Dios. Pasando de ser un esclavo del pecado y un mero niño siguiendo sin pensar el tráfico de la tradición humana y los rudimentos de la religión falsa a un heredero e hijo de Dios. Todo esto se resume en la verdad central de un bebé que nace en un pesebre. El Dios eterno, nacido de una madre y enviado por el Padre, para reconciliar consigo al mundo.  Que la Tierra Reciba a su Rey.

Una de las últimas cosas que el Señor ordenó fue que predicáramos él evangelio. En los cuatro evangelios el Señor nos deja la “Gran Comisión” que es que prediquemos el evangelio a todos. El evangelio se trata completamente de nuestro salvador prometido. El mensaje es de redencion y completa entrega a Dios.

In this episode of Sit Down and Listen we take a closer look at an essential aspect of salvation; regeneration, the divine miracle that the Spirit of God operates in a dead, hardened, and rebellious sinner. Salvation works to transform the sinner into a new creation, with hearts that are quick to do His will and please Him.

There has always been a debate throughout the history of the church about God's absolute control over human affairs and history, particularly when a guilty sinner comes to faith in Jesus. But also the consistent testimony of scripture affirming the human responsibility we have in making a decision for Christ. How do these truths compliment one another? Do they contradict each other? We'll be looking a bit deeper into this issue on this episode of Sit Down and Listen.

In this episode of Sit Down and Listen we discuss the Reformation, the religious revolution that took place in the Western church in the 16th century.   The reformers rejected the authority of the pope as well as many of the principles and practices of Catholicism of that time. The essential tenets of the Reformation are that the Bible is the sole authority for all matters of faith and conduct and that salvation is by God's grace and by faith in Jesus Christ.
