The mission of the Church begins in earnest with the promises to Abraham and his offspring. These promises are grand and glorious, and we inherit them all in Christ. We should learn from our father Abraham, and from his offspring Jesus Christ, how to hold these promises--gratefully and loosely, recognizing that our present enjoyment of the promises is but a foretaste of the glory that awaits us.
