The goal of the Christian life is not your exaltation. It's Christ's. And an unholy life does not magnify Christ. It obscures Him.

King Hezekiah inherited a temple in ruins. The doors were shut. The lamps were out. The altar was cold. God's presence had departed. But Hezekiah knew something: God fills what has been made ready.

So he commanded consecration. Sixteen days of cleansing. Removing the filth. Restoring what had been neglected. When the temple was ready, worship broke out, and God's presence returned with joy unseen since Solomon.

You are the temple now. Not a building, but a living dwelling place for the Holy Spirit. The Spirit fills what has been consecrated. He inhabits what has been set apart.

What condition is your temple in? What doors have you shut? What altars have grown cold?

This sermon explores what it means to become a dwelling place for God's presence. What it requires. What it costs. And what it produces: a life that exalts Christ over all.
