Tonight we are in part 2 of the Kongo Herb Series in the Nachrrootz Radio Show.  The focus is on the medicinal herb known as Tulsi or Holy Basil.  The scientific name is Ocimum Sanctum and we will take time to review Tulsi's broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity, which includes activity against a range of human and animal pathogens, suggests it can be used as a hand sanitizer, mouthwash and water purifier as well as in animal rearing to name a few.  We will also have a brief overview of the connection to Hinduism.  The reference will be from "The Journal of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine" Vol5 Iss4.  I intend to indentify the valuable properties and compounds of the Tulsi Herb.

Tonight we take a new focus into the Kongo Herb Series in the Nachrrootz Radio Show first focus on the botanical herb garlic better known as Allium Sativum.  In the plant based community it seems to be a bit of confusion as if garlic is toxic and man made, thus preventing those from using this for its medicinal and beneficial properties. I will reference the most recent study from "The Journal of Immunology 2015 ariticle ID 401630.  I will also use other references and clinical trials to help the listeners understand the benefits of garlic and that it is not toxic to humans. I intend to identify the compounds as well listed in the studies and the healing properites.

Tonight we dig in deeper and focus on the science of appetite regulation and the association of brain control.  Which body system is truly in control of the appetite, we will use a study from The Pennsylvania School of Medicine, and Beth Israel Medical Center of Boston.  I intend to identify the connection between the brain and appetite and what really is in control of the food choices we make and consume.

Tonight we dig in deeper and focus on the science behind fasting while understanding the role of glucose and lipids.  I will reference 2 studies, one which has been provided in the weekly newsleter.  I intend to share the benefits of dietary fasting which was witness in case studies at The Labatory of Neurosciences, National Institute of Aging in Baltimore,MD

Tonight we dig in and learn about what dietary fasting is and the effects it has on the human body.  I will reference a study and clinical conducted by John Hopkins School of Medicine in Maryland.  I will also give my professional opinion on fasting vs dieting and why I think it is better for the human body.
