Tensions in Ace Studios run high after the apartment of Rock and Archie has a Molotov thrown through the window, plus the homes of the Amberg's, and Raymond and Camille, have crosses burned in their yards.  Jack, Archie, Rock and Raymond attempt to work at Ernie's service station to raise money for the film. Ernie denies them work but then works with his guys and raises the money needed for the film. Ace wakes from his coma and is against the film that Avis and Dick Samuels help make, until both stand up to him. Ace dies in his sleep. The next day, Ace's attorney Lon, storms the studio with police, takes the film for the picture "Meg" and burns it.

As the title suggests, there is definitely a lot to “Jump” about in this episode. Avis really shows up and in all the best ways possible! Camille gets cast as Meg, but the script gets a small rewrite. The team struggles to stay in budget for the picture, Ellen shoots her shot at Dick, and Jack finds out he isn’t the father of his wife’s twins.

Roy and Archie are still having a difference of opinion about the status of their relationship As a result they are forced to confront their differences at George Cukor’s industry house party. Jack is told he needs to get signed to Henry Wilson’s agency. Jack stands up to Henry’s unwanted advances and Claire sees the entire situation as it unfolds. As Ms. Kincaid is reading with Jack to make him a better actor she instructs him that the acting styles are changing. Jack and Rock Hudson are vying for the lead role in Peg.

After spending the night in jail Jack is bailed out by someone other than his wife. Jack’s wife experiences an emergency during her pregnancy that sends her to the hospital.  Screenwriter, Raymond, gets the green light to produce his first movie for a major studio. Jack finds out his fate with the studio after a not so good screen test. Archie and Roy have a heart to heart about the nature of their relationship.
