Movies tend to depict computers as magical mcguffins, capable of solving any problem. Many movies and tv shows show hacking as this overly dramatic smashing of keyboards with the added visual of a streamlined and professional user interface. It’s not incorrect to say that Hollywood has taken some liberties in an effort to entertain. From fancy blinking lights to diffusing bombs with excel, Hollywood sure knows how to make cyber look really, really silly.
