The book of Ecclesiastes was written to reach unbelievers through a "cultural apologetic" so that they might straighten out their thinking, acting, and values, and prepare for God's judgment of sin. It was also written to explain to believers and unbelievers about the meaning of life, the fear of God, and the vanity of worldly pursuits.
