Series 2, Episode 2 - "I've got this image of you sitting cross-legged on the carpet with all your ships just going "pew-pew"."
The Borg/A.I series continues and we take a break from the relentless nightmarish cyborgs this week to look at something that fits the other focus; the advanced A.I that is sentient hologram Vic Fontaine. This started out as a way to fit a DS9 episode into this series, and it does lead to fascinating discussions throughout that are relevant to this theme. Ultimately it's also a transparent way to talk about an episode which also powerfully involves a much deeper subject matter focusing on a beloved character and a truly gifted actor who was lost too soon. So yes the review this week is "It's Only a Paper Moon" and Mike is joined by returning(ish) guest D.K, not for another series wrap-up or rant at Paramount, but for a truly fascinating, deep and emotionally resonant discussion. Before that though there's an exploration of D.K's favourite Trek characters, the Hit or Miss section and a lot of talk by our host about Eaglemoss starship models. We hope you enjoy this great episode as much as a swinging night at Vic's pally.
