When Max met the love of his life in Rome, years ago, he didn't hesitate to travel all the way from France to China to get to be with her. Though he didn't know how to speak a word of Mandarin, he settled there for a time before marrying her and coming back to his home country where they are now raising their three children. Growing up in an immigrant family surely is not always as easy as it seems, but is enriching in many aspects. In this episode, Hafize tells us about how she feels speaking different languages and her love for her parents' country, Turkiye. With many digressions, we also discussed the importance of her religion to her, and how she manages to navigate her way through a secular country and society.

After graduating from a bachelor in human rights, politics and French, Grace decided to spend a year in France as a lectrice (a university language assistant) to improve her French even further, and to live immersed in the culture. In her second year of bachelor degree in English, Solène had the opportunity to go to Cambridge as an exchange student. This unexpected surprise turned out to be a major experience for her, and going back home was no easy thing, especially as it increased her doubts on what her wishes for the future were. Amélie grew up surrounded by her 6 siblings, which highly influenced her definition of home and the way she sees life as an individual. Between this and the opportunity she had to travel to Japan when she was in High School, she narrates in this episode her daily life and the comfort she's used to, as well as her dreams and how she views her future experience abroad far from all of this.

After graduating from an education degree, Gina-May decided to leave for another country and experience life as an au pair. From trying to find the right family, to adapting to a new environment and find the right balance in a culture so different from hers, being away from home is no easy thing but still brings its little joys. She tells us about her country and its diversity, and how different it is from what we are used to in Europe.
