Sean grew up in Philadelphia and developed a passion for music at an early age listening to his father’s record collection and playing instruments in school. He started to DJ in the mid 80’s in high school doing guest spots on Trenton State Radio playing industrial, punk and early acid house and techno. Since then he has held residencies in Philadelphia, New York, and Vancouver BC, and has played all over the states and in Canada.
Sean has spent years in the music business working at record stores and labels, managing djs, and throwing parties in clubs and on the radio. In 2011 Sean started BayAreaBeatbox. This was a platform to showcase his passion for music and djing on Soundcloud. This concept has spawned a radio show on Pure Radio Holland and currently on Underground Kollektiv Radio in the UK. Along with the radio show that features guests from all over the world, Sean launched Beatbox Records to feature his music production. He has also done remixes for Labels like Selekta, Red Robot, and Oh that’s good music.
